Snow Day Cocktail

Happy Friday Y'all! {I feel that y'all is necessary to have every now and then because I say y'all when I speak, however I try to be a bit more formal when writing.}  VA has gotten quite a bit of snow lately, or at least my area has gotten more than it usually does, so I have had a few snow days (I still had school just a few delay's here and there). Although I am completely ready for summer and dying for warm weather, mother nature has been wanting to freeze me to death!

Therefore… desperate (& freezing) times call for spiked hot chocolate!

I am sorry if you are not of age and cannot use this recipe, however regular hot chocolate is still delish and there are other ways to spice up your hot chocolate! There is nothing fancy or hard to make about this recipe. All you will need is water (or milk), hot chocolate mix, Bailey's Irish Cream and whipped cream!

Recipe
1. Heat the water to your desired temperature. I heat a little hotter than I would usually drink because adding the room temperature Bailey's tends to cool it down some.
2. Mix in your hot chocolate.
3. Add a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream (or more or less if you desire!)
4. Top off the whole situation with whipped cream
5. Everything taste's better in a cute mug!

Mug (mine is in gold)

I think snow is so beautiful and really do enjoy watching it fall, from my warm bed! Having some hot chocolate or even hot tea makes the cold a little more comfortable for me. If you are not of age try spicing up your hot chocolate with some sprinkles on top of your whipped cream or add some raspberry sauce on top (the chocolate and raspberry combo is divine)!

What are your favorite things to do on a snow day?

P.S. Aren't these deer in my backyard adorable?!

Spring Fashion Wish Wist

I don't know about you, but I am so ready for SPRING! Warm weather cannot come soon enough and VA keeps getting more, and more, snow. I am ready to get a little Vitamin D, sip something fruity and spend my days on a beach or boat!

I am also very excited about Spring fashion for some reason this year. Monday's post was all about my favorite spring nail polishes {see that here} and today I am sharing with you some of the items I have my eyes on for spring! I am a neutral color gal, #duhh, but I love how spring pastel shades have color yet are still rather neutral. Of course this couldn't be a spring fashion post without some Lilly Pulitzer so I had to include these cute scallop shorts! I already own a pair of Lilly scallop shorts and love them. They add a femine and chic touch to plain shorts!

I am also really loving these Vince basic tee's, they are my perfect t-shirt and everything Vince makes is so comfortable and luxurious. However, I must say $85 is a bit  steep for a t-shirt.  I have been thinking about purchasing these Joie trousers in the color black, but how fab are these white ones!!

I feel like the Chanel Espadrilles have really brought the whole sneaker/flats back into action and I must say that these Tory Burch "look a-likes" are much more budget friendly! I really love those and the grey Vince sneakers! I have been contemplating adding a pair to my shoes collection but can't make a decision on which one I like more? They are both so perfect and I feel like they could really last from spring to fall with most outfits! I am also loving white Converse's! Who isn't? They have made a complete comeback and are officially the "new" (?) thing, even though they are definitely old school!

I cannot wait to start shopping for a few pieces to add to my collection for spring and most of all I cannot wait for warmer weather! What items are you looking out for this spring?

Spring Nail Polish Favorites

I know it may be a little bit early to start posting for spring, but with all of the snow in VA recently, I have been dying for a little sunshine and color. One of my favorite things about spring, (other than the warm weather, baby animals, and blooming flowers), is pastel nail colors! They are the perfect combination of natural and color for me. Don't get me wrong I love a good red or hot pink nail for summer, but I am a complete neutral color gal.

Pastel's are great because they provide color but still keep things sort of neutral and casual, which I love. Today I decided I would share with you some of my favorite spring (pastel) shades of polish which are all from Essie

What are your favorite polish colors for Spring?

Go to "Healthy" Lunch for School

Today I thought that I would share another food post with you! I love food. So, I feel that it is necessary for me to share more food on my blog since it is such a big part of my life! I have been trying to eat healthier in the new year, as are most people (lol).  However, I have recently gotten my mom on board with me and she has made eating healthier SO MUCH easier! She has been making homemade yogurt and hummus and she is even shopping at Trader Joes, #OMG.

With that in mind, it has been (and still is) a struggle to make healthy choices and I am not in any way claiming to be a "healthy eater".  But, I just want to incorporate more food posts on my blog! If you would like to see more recipes or grocery hauls be sure to let me know!

My go-to lunch recently has been anything leftover in the fridge wrapped up in a whole wheat wrap! So for today's lunch, I had some left over chicken breast and broccoli (I usually add any sautéed or cooked vegetables)! I am a lover of spreads, dips and sauces and I love mayonnaise. But, I have found that I am able to avoid mayonnaise if I use hummus instead!

What you will need:
Wraps (preferably whole wheat or multigrain)
Hummus
Protein
Vegetables
or whatever you would like to include!

I just spread the amount of hummus I want all over the wrap

Slice up the chicken in very thin pieces (just because I like them thin!)

Add on some vegetables and wrap it up!

I have been using this little container, that I purchased at Home Goods, for my lunches and it works great! I love how it divides everything up and it even has a specific spot for a sandwich! Just add some some fruit or chips to complete your lunch!

I hope that you enjoyed this post! If you would like to see more food related blogposts just let me know!

I hope you have a great weekend!

Classic Black Pump {Which Should I Buy}

Happy Thursday!

It is almost the weekend! I am sorry for my lack of presence this week and last for the most part. I have beyond busy with school and unfortunately that must come first! However, I am back today with a question for you

I have made the choice to add an investment pair of classic black pumps to my closet. I have really been trying to narrow down the amount of clothing, shoes and accessories in my closet and focus on nice investment pieces that I love and that will last me a lifetime! I love my Christian Louboutin nude patent leather pumps and have been thinking of purchasing another pair of Louboutins but I just can't decide!

I am looking for something that is not patent leather, not too tall, classic and are versatile. Other than possibly a pair of Louboutin's, I have (sort of) narrowed it down to two pairs of shoes.
Option 1
Option 2

I need your help deciding which pair to purchase! Or if you have any other suggestions for me I would love to check those out as well! I am not an expert at walking in heels so I'm looking for something that will provide me support and as much comfort as a pump can provide (lol). If you own either one of these shoes or any pumps from these brands I would love to know your thoughts, what you like and what you don't!

Thank you so much for your help and for stopping by my blog!

Favorite Hair Mask

If you know me personally, you know that I have been trying to grow my hair longer for over a year now. I have dreamt of having long beautiful for quite some time, but I am very impatient and like to change my hair up a little every now and then.

If you want to grow your hair long, you need to take extra good care of it and for me that is a struggle. I am the girl who spent many years ripping out her tangles, washing her hair twice a day and straighten the already stick straight hair. Now I'm not saying all of those things are absolutely horrible (except for ripping out the tangles part, that's just bad) but they aren't exactly the best thing for keeping your hair healthy. In order to grow your hair out you need to take good care of it and keep it healthy.

Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite  hair masks. I have recently rediscovered a favorite hair product of mine which is my Dry Solution Moisturizing Mask from Honor Haircare {c/o}. This mask is incredible! It moisturizes my hair down to the core without leaving my hair feeling greasy. I have an extra oily scalp (and skin) so I am always terrified of something that will make me even oily, this is not the case. This mask hydrates and replenishes my hair leaving it silky smooth.

One of my favorite parts about this mask is that is it does not contain and harmful color additives, alcohol, mineral oil, petroleum or parabens. It is also hypoallergenic and alcohol free. This product not only makes my hair soft, beautiful and healthy but it uses healthy and safe products for my body. Some ingredients include shea butter, collagen protein, silk protein, wheat protein, avocado as well as olive, coconut and organ oil. I absolutely love what this stuff does to my hair and don't worry ladies it smells DIVINE (almost like a tropical vacation).

I like to leave mine in as long as I can so it can penetrate even better!

I apply the mask to the ends of my hair (from my ears down)

Allow it to sit in a bun for at least five minutes. I like to leave it in longer if I can, to allow it to penetrate in deeper!

Rinse it out and style your hair as usual!

Be sure to check out this hair mask here.
If you would like to know some of my tips on growing your hair let me know! I would love to share that with you!

KATE SPADE PAINTBRUSH PINK & GOLD THANK YOU NOTE SET

I have recently (and thankfully) discovered the Rachel George website. If you have never heard of Rachel George then you are in for a REAL treat! I absolutely adore anything gold and her website is filled with pretty much nothing but GOLD. EXACTLY. You must check it out!

When I visited the website after Christmas, I decided to place an order for accessories to go on my desk. Everything that I ordered arrived quickly, in beautiful packaging (and condition,) and with a nice hand written note.  I don’t think that I have ever had such great customer service. I didn’t have any problems with my order, it was just very nice to have a hand written note and receive my order quicker than expected.

With that very long  introduction out of the way, I want to share with you all that the Rachel George website is have 25% OFF OF EVERYTHING with the promo code “BDAY”, OMG. If you follow me on twitter @MissMorganLife, then you probably already know because I tweeted about this yesterday. The 25% OFF sale runs until February 10th, which is this upcoming Tuesday. So be sure to place your order before then. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

P.S. How #fabuluxe are these candles from R.G. from my 21st Birthday this past weekend?!

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas for Her

Growing up, before I had a Valentine of my own ;), my dad always made sure to include me in Valentine's Day with my mom. He would always bring me roses and instead of taking my mom out to dinner he would always make us both a nice dinner at home. It was always so nice and he made my mom feel like a queen and of course I was the princess!

At a young age my family thought he that Valentine's Day is about all  of the people in your life that you love. Jay is always my Valentine <3 But that doesn't mean that I forget about my momma or dad! If you don't have a boyfriend or husband that doesn't mean that Valentine's Day is a total waste! Grab your best girlfriend and celebrate!

I have rounded up a few gifts to give to those special ladies in your life. Whether she is your girlfriend, wife, mother, sister or best friend! Show her that you love her! Gifts are always nice, but money isn't everything! Homemade cards and presents are always much more sentimental. But I had so much fun making this collage! I adore these shades of pink and beige as an"updated" version of the timeless red for V-Day!

I hope that you find this post helpful in finding a gift for someone special OR for treating yourself!
Happy Hump Day!

Dress (similar) // Shoes // Burberry Kensington Trench // Wallet Louis Vuitton

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a great weekend. I spent my 21st first birthday weekend with my wonderful family and friends. I am one blessed girl that is for sure! I am excited about a few gifts I received but I am feeling overwhelmed with the blessing of just having so many incredibly loving and kind people in my life! With out rambling too much, I want to get into today’s post!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and whether you are going on a date or heading to see Fifty Shades of Grey (OMG I cannot wait) with your girlfriends, it is the perfect day to make yourself feel flirty and extra special. All throughout the holiday’s I was looking for a red dress to wear to parties! Needless to say, I didn’t find that dress until after Christmas, but HEY I am going to where it for V-Day. This red dress from The Loft is so comfy and classic. I got it on SUPER sale and can’t wait to wear it!

The dress can be worn many different ways, which is one of my favorite things about it! For this look I pair it with simple nude Christian Louboutin pumps and my new Burberry Trench Coat! I love this look it is so classic and a topknot goes perfectly! Just add a clutch or a shoulder bag to complete the look.  Be sure to check out my DIY Lip and Hand Scrub to get those kissable lips and soft hands!
