Friday Five: Sales, Books, Beauty, Weddings + More!

This week has literally gone by so slow [lol].

What's up with that? I feel like week's that begin with a Holiday are supposed to go buy quickly and painlessly, but I must say… this one has not! But, Friday is FINALLY here so a Friday Five is in order.

I have spent some time this week prepping for my blog rebranding, but some things have to wait until the new site is finished. I have also been doing some research on a new camera, that I need, but in reality don't want to spend the money on. I know right, get over myself. But seriously, cameras are expensive and beings that I don't know how to work a DSLR, I'm literally afraid to buy one!

I am attending my first wedding of the season this weekend, and I have to say, I am really excited! Jay and I have never been to a wedding together before, so I can't wait to experience it with him. Weddings are all "gushy" and "love-ee" and  not exactly fun to go to by yourself if you are in a relationship! So I can't wait! What are your plans for the weekend?

1. Tory Burch is having a great sale! I want this WOC and these wedges. I have decided which to splurge on, which do you like better?

2. I love The Beauty Look Book this post on some Tom Ford Beauty relaunches! I want the Nude Dip Eyeshadow Quad and the Sugar Dune Nail Lacquer, #stunning

3. Loving this little shadow box I picked up at a consignment store this week to house all of my sparkles! [similar here]

4. Obsessed with this book already! Every girl shown own it, at least every fabulous girl! I also now need to get this one.

5. Did you catch my sneaky "P.S." announcement in my Instagram post this week! That's right, the house plans are ready!! #insertpartydancehere

Little Black Dress for Summer

Details: Dress:  Loft [under $50Shoes:  Tory Burch | Shoes:  Christian Louboutin | Bag:  Loft
Necklace: J.Crew [similar| Bracelets: David Yurman 1, 2, J.Crew 3 | Earrings:  Bauble Bar

If you follow me on twitter, you know that I did a little shopping at Loft last week! It is one of my favorite stores for many reasons. Of course I love the style of their clothing, but everything is so comfortable and such good quality as well.

Most of you know I am a complete neutrals gal, with a fun splash of color here and there, but I am also a complete sucker for a LBD. LET ME TELL YOU. I probably own 10 and no there is no reason other than LBD's are the best! Therefore, when I saw this one I knew it was coming home with me.

I love this dress, not only because of its great price [under $50], but because it is so versatile. Summer is the time when you head to the beach all day and then quickly change into something comfy for dinner! This dress is that dress, SERIOUSLY. It is a perfect coverup dress, date night dress or the just throw it on and grab some flip flops dress, lol!

The first look shows a more casual version with sandals and limited jewelry. For the second look, I added a sparkly necklace, some Louboutins and, if I had a mirror, I would have thrown my hair up in a topknot for an instant date night look!

Run. Don't walk to Loft!

What is your go to LBD?

Memorial Day Recap + Exciting Blog Details

Happy Tuesday Y'all!

I can't believe it is already Tuesday, this weekend went by so fast and I'm not ready to go back to the grind! I am lagging a bit this morning. I think the combination of a busy weekend, lot's of junk food and the #alcoholbloat are all contributors to this A.M.'s lag.

On a lighter note, I wanted to share a few details about my MDW and some exciting blog news. Friday and Saturday I had to work, but Saturday during the day, Jay and I laid out in the backyard and soaked up a few rays! Sunday, we went out on our boat with some friends and spent the day enjoying the weather! However, the boat ride was a little rough, lol. On Monday, Jay, my mom, my aunt and I went to Paradise Ocean Club, which is a local beach/pool/tiki bar type of place. Good description right? IT was SO fun though, I can't wait to go back! We ended the weekend with spending some time on the couch watching American Sniper.

I am so thankful for those who have and still serve our country. And for their families who allow them to do so. I am honored to live among these incredible people and call myself an American! I feel so blessed to have the rights and privileges that I do!

Next matters of business are the blog deets! I am so excited to formally share with you that I am rebranding my blog! I have shared this news on twitter if you follow me (here) but I don't think, as far as I can remember, that i have shared the news on my blog!

I am SO EXCITED, I literally cannot wait for the process to be complete. We still have quite a bit to do, but I wanted to share the exciting news with you! This has been my dream for a very long time, however I have always been a little bit scared to take the jump. And I finally am.

I would love to know an of your thoughts, concerns and requests for posts in the future and I am exciting to be devoting as much time as I can to my blog! I can't wait to begin these journey and I hope that you will join the ride!

White Denim

I am so happy that summer is almost here! However, Va has been "hot, hot, hot" lately so light colored clothing has been my bestie. I loved this outfit combination last summer and it is so easy to dress up or down!

Pairing this outfit with sandals and a braid makes it perfect for daytime activities. But, adding my nude patent Christian Louboutin simple pumps and made some curls to my hair and some fun jewlrey, transforms this into the perfect date night look! I love its versatility and how the light colors keep me much cooler when the weather is steamy. Va humidity is a real you know what. At least we are getting some good rain today, and of course, some nap time is required!

I have been wanting to add another pair of white jeans into my collection, because I just love these so much! I think deserted skinny white jeans would deb a great addition to my closet.

Yesterday, I went a little cray at the Loft and purchased an all navy wardrobe that included a few pieces that are a very unusual for my style! I can't wait to style them and share them on the blog!

Favorite Jewelry Pieces and Designers

Recently, I have began to purge everything in my closet, as well as other parts of my life. I used to think that the more you had, the better off you were.

I was wrong.

Simplicity and quality over quantity are a much better option. I have become completely overwhelmed with the amount of clothes, shoes, and jewelry I have. Therefore, I have began to get rid of many things, see my blog sale here.

Similar watches linked below
I have had a few request about my jewelry collection, and storage, however since I am still cleaning things out I thought that it would be best to share with you some of my favorite pieces and favorite designers!

I am a huge fan of David Yurman jewelry. I love the style, quality and their guest services are beyond excellent. I choose to purchase David Yurman as my investment pieces and still save room for a few "fun" pieces that are less expensive. For more of my costume jewelry, I like to shop from Kendra Scott and Bauble Bar. These designers produces good quality costume jewelry for a cheaper price.

I love this book!

One of my most valuable and irreplaceable piece from my collection is my grandmother's engagement ring. My aunt gave me this ring, as a gift, when I graduated high school. I usually don't wear it, just because I like to keep it safe in my jewelry box where it cannot get damaged. This is the piece of my collection that is not replaceable and will forever be a treasure of mine along with my promise ring from Jay. I wear my promise ring everyday and I absolutely love it!

Favorite pieces from my collection

I am hoping to sharing my whole collection and set up very soon! I just need to clean it up a bit first!
