Chanel Haul! Summer Collection 2013 + more!

* I purchased all of these products on my own. I am not being paid or sponsored to write this! All opinions are mine. Thank you!*

I have been waiting for this collection for quite some time now! It was so difficult trying to decide what items to purchase and which ones not to purchase! These are the things I came up with.. Did you purchase anything from this collection?

Chanel Glossimer 437 Eden *Limited Edition*

At first look I wan't going to buy this, of course that changed. When I viewed this gloss online I instantly fell in love! The color they showed was absolutely beautiful! It was a bright creamy pink that is actually quite different than what I actually got. But I am not complaining because I do love this! This hot pink color is so beautiful and it's the perfect accessory.

However it is not very pigmented. The color payoff is quite shear and just gives a little tint of color. I do love this and will use it all, probably quickly.  But, I think that there are probably millions of dupes for this for a much cheaper price!

 Chanel Nail Colour 667 Bel-Argus

WOW. This color is one of a kind! I am so in love already! I am honestly thinking of purchasing the other color. It paints so smoothly and the pigmentation and shimmer is incredible. This is expensive for a nail polish but well worth the money! I would recommend this to anyone who love nail polish! I am wearing it in the picture above (^^). I can't wait to paint this on my toes!

Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow 44 Metamorphose

If you read my blog or watch my youtube channel you probably know that I am quite the neutral gal. I am not crazy about color on this eye lids. I really don't even wear bright lip shades. However I have recently been considering purchasing a blue eyeshadow, because blue is supposed to go with brown eyes. I was thinking," Like, Why does it have to BLUE that goes with brown"?! Until... I found this quad. It does look scary, however you can see in the swatches below that these are very mild colors. I am very thankful for that! I think that these colors will be able to be used on their own or with other shadow to tone them down and/or play them up! I think that this is a good purchase if you don't own anything like this!

The palette comes with (from left to right, top to bottom) a beautiful mid-tone teal/aqua shade, a light sky blue, a light lime green, and lastly a bright/dark royal blue similar to Bel-Argus.

Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base/ Bronze Universal/ Soleil Tan De Chanel

This product is not a part of this summer 2013 collection, but it is something that has been on my wish list for quite a while now! There have been rumors saying that this product is being discontinued however I can not validate that. I have no idea if it is or not. I just know that I bought it just in case, lol, because people seem to really love this stuff! I am assuming there are many ways to apply this. I am going to play with it and see, I will be sure to let you all know! This is a cream bronzer with a quite unique texture, it is very smooth. I previously own a MAC cream bronzer and for lack of better words I just did not like it. I hope that this one works better! Swatch below.

I was provided with some lovely samples.

UV Essentiel Anti- Pollution Broad Spectrum SPF 50
Immitable Intense Mascara 10 Noir

I have ordered from Chanel.com  before and as always it was excellent!

Thank you for stopping by! If you have any more questions please just ask!

My Favorites: Mascara, Le Volume de Chanel

I finally decided to go ahead and do a "My Favorites" series of blogposts. In this mini series of post, I am going to try some of my stand out, long time use products. I am going to try to range them from beauty, hair, skincare, and maybe even fashion. If you have any requests of a specific type item that you would like to know my all time favorite please let me know in a comment, I would love to do that! Although over time many of my "favorite" products change, I will try to stick to things that are all time holy grail items and/or things I have been using recently, for a good while that is. I will be sure ot distinguish the difference and try to tell you how long I have been using each product!

On that note... Let's JUMP on into the first item!

I decided that I rave and rave about this product all of the time, you're probably tired of hearing about it,  so it would be best to do it first and "get it out of the way"? Anyways, the one and only Le Volume de Chanel has been a recent but on going mascara favorite of mine since I believe about October or November of 2012. I first received this product as a sample from a lady at my Chanel counter. She informed me that it would not be available for a while, but that I should try it! THANK YOU to her! I instantly fell in love. I can not tell you how many tubes of this I have used and repurchased. I have used up so many. I am the type of person who usually doesn't repurchase too many things, I like to experiment with new products each time. But, with this, I have only bought one other mascara in this time frame and I really don't use it all that often. I am terrified that Chanel will stop selling this and then I will be lost ( ok, maybe a little exaggeration).  Still this product is fabulous!

You're probably wondering, " Is she ever going to tell us why she likes it"?! lol

There are many things that I love about this mascara and only a few things that I don't like. I really love the formula and the brush for this mascara. The formula is very volumizing and lengthening. I feel that it really gives me the effect of false lashes, which I love. I also really like the packaging. I like how sophisticated and classy Chanel packaging is. I am a huge fan of black, I just think it's so classy! In my opinion the formula of this mascara get's better after a little time. I really don't like it for the first few uses, it is too wet for me.

One of my favorite things about this mascara, other than the formula obviously, is the brush.

This is my absolute favorite mascara of the moment and has been for the past 6 months or more. I have never tried the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara, which I have heard is similar and/or has been a long time favorite of many people. I am interested in trying it, it may be my next purchase. If you have tried both of these I would love to know which one you like better?

Don't you just love that logo?!

I have the black #10 shade.

Check out these posts to see up close pictures of me wearing this mascara. But, I usually wear it in most all of my videos, because I wear it about everyday!

The Mascara retails for $30.00, view more info here.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope that you found this helpful. If so, be sure to share it! Also, if you like this style post please let me know so I can continue to do more of these. & if you have any requests of reviews or anything just ask in a comment!

Dark Green Smoky Eye!

I am so excited to share this look! I absolutely love it! I think that this is so easy and foolproof but it still looks like you spent a while on your makeup (little do they know... lol). Anyways, I wanted to share this because I just recently hauled two of these items (Check out the haul HERE!). So far I am really liking both things. The Chanel cream shadow is definitely my favorite. It is such a beautiful color and the product i easy to work with. The Laura Mercier is also nice, although I was a bit disappointed in how much chunky glitter was it the shadow. I would have liked it more if there was less glitter, but I still like it!

I really love how the two Chanel colors work/look together! It make's me so happy, ha. But, I also like just the Laura Mercier and Chanel cream shadows together. I think cream shadows are going to be my next obsession!! I hope you enjoy this look, I think that it is just beautiful and too easy!

Products Used:

Chanel Ombre Essentielle (Single Shadow) in 88 Vert Khaki
Chanel Illusion D'Ombre (Cream Shadow) in 84 Epatant
Benefit Brow Zings Brow Kit in Light
Chanel Le Volume de Chanel in Black
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Sugar Frost
MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Stubborn Brown
MAC Eyeshadows in Phloof + Satin Taupe

Bobbie Brown Shimmer Brick in Lilac Rose
Chanel Highlighter (Spring 2013 Collection)
MAC Creamsheen Lipstick (name unknown, HELP!!)
I love this MAC lipstick but I don't know what it's name is. It is lighter than cream cup, any thoughts?

I hope you all enjoyed this quick little post. My video will be up tomorrow and I will update this then!!
Happy Sunday night/ early Monday!!

Thank you for stopping by!

A Little Shopping Trip...

This shopping trip was "thought up" a while ago when Jay and I decided that we would hold off on the Valentine's Day and Easter gifts for each other so that we could save up and buy one another new sunglasses! Wow, run on sentence much? Couldn't get that one out right. lol. Anyways, while we were there dropping off all of our cash at Saks and the Sunglass Hut, I decide to visit the Chanel and Laura Mercier counters just to check and make sure they were still around. Thank god they were! I always think of all of the cosmetic items that I want to purchase and then when I actually go to the store I just blank. Anyways, "Again, I know just get to the point already Morgan", I purchased a few things I have been eyeing so I just wanted to share some pictures and swatches! I am very excited about my purchases. Everything, so far, seems to be very nice. Which is always a plus!

First the glasses..

I went for Tom Ford Aviators.

Jay went for Gucci

These look great on him! lol

On to the makeup goodies...

CHANEL

I purchased this eye makeup remover because I have been using makeup removing wipes and I just feel that they are too rough on my skin. I have to tug and pull my eyes, “Which is not good for wrinkles!!”, and I think that is really changing my lashes for the worst. I am a huge Chanel fan, obviously, so I wanted to try their remover. It is pricey, but I just like Chanel. That is my only excuse, sorry. Hopefully this is nice also. I tried it tonight, only on my eyes, and it seemed to do the job well and not cause any burning or irritation to my eyes! I just praying for no breakouts! I will continue to use the remover wipes for just my face excluding my eyes.

Illusion D'Ombre
84 Epatant

I am very excited to try this Chanel cream shadow! I absolutely love the color. The consistency and pigmentation is fabulous! I am really impressed so far and definitely think it is worth the price. I hope none of that changes! I have heard they dry out quickly, I hope not!

Caviar Stick Eye Colour
Sugar Frost

I am also excited about the Laura Mercier Caviar stick. This product along with the Chanel cream shadow has a wonderful color range, in my opinion. I think this will be great as a quick everyday shadow as well as a base and also maybe as a highlight for my inner corners and brow bone!

Here are swatches of the two products:

I hope that you enjoyed this post and found it helpful! If you would like to see more swatches or any in depth reviews of the products please let me know! I would love to share them with you!
I hope you all have a Fabulous Friday & a great weekend!
What have you bought recently? I would love to know!

Mini Spring Beauty Haul!

My recent purchase on Nordstrom.com arrived today and I am so excited to share it with you all! This haul is a bit of a splurge, but from my first impressions of these items, it was well worth it! I have had my eye on one of the items for quite a while, but I just couldn't bring myself to purchase it. So I finally broke down a got it. The other two items are also really exciting because I have never tried them before!

My first and largest splurge item is from Chanel (surprise, surprise, I know right lol). I have wanted this product since I first laid eyes on it, like I said. To me this highlighter is more of a collectors item. I know, I might be a little crazy, ha. This product is beautiful , I cannot even describe to you how happy I am I purchased this.

I think that this piece is definitely one of a kind. I don't know if it the beautiful peachy highlight color or if it the amazing print on the actual powder itself. It is just stunning.

The second thing that I purchased is this Bobbie Brown Shimmer Brick in Lilac Rose. It is a a beautiful  pink/purple blush for spring! I like the shimmer and the color itself. I think it brings a light and a nice flush to the face.

Here are swatches of the two powders. The lighting wasn't great so the swatches are not great either, I am sorry.

The last thing I purchased was a lip gloss. This is exciting for me because I haven't ever tried any Chantecaille products. Although, I'm glad I picked this one to try. So far, I think these may be my new favorite glosses! It is pigmented, creamy, not sticky, and lasts long. The color is my favorite lip product color a soft creamy pink color! These glosses are very expensive, but I do think that I will come to find that they are worth the splurge. Hopefully, I will be able to get another one, one day!

I am very happy with everything that I purchased. With my order, I recieved three free samples.

I am very anxious to try this mascara. :)

That is all for my haul, if you have tried any of these products I would love to know your thoughts on them. I am also interested in trying more things form Chantecaille, I would love to your thoughts on the brand! If you have any questions or requests on these products please let me know in a comment!
Thank you for stopping by!!
