Peplum and Denim

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I spent mine with Jay enjoying lot's of sunshine. I just can't seem to get enough of the sun lately. Friday we took a quick trip to Va Beach to visit Whole Foods. I cannot wait for the one closer to us to open. I need a Whole Foods closer to me! It is my favorite food store, for obvious reasons of course! Saturday I caught up on a few chores around the house and then spent a few minutes laying in the sun with Jay! On Sunday, we took our boat out for the first time this year. I absolutely love spending time on the water and it is a great way for Jay and I to spend some time together and catch some rays!

On to the outfit...

I purchased this peplum tank top, as well as a navy one, last summer at J. Crew Factory. Of course, like everything else I try to link, I was unable to find it. However, I linked a similar top. I love a subtle peplum top, nothing too extreme and this one is perfect!

I am in desperate need of a summer bag! I have recently fallen in love with the Damier Azur print from Louis Vuitton. In the past I have never really been a fan, but something has changed. I really would like to add a piece to my collection, maybe a smaller bag. But, with my recent shoe purchase, the bag may have to wait a bit! What is your go to summer hand bag?

I hope you have a great start to the new week!

Summer Starter Roundup

Happy Friday!

This week has felt so long and for once that is a good thing! The first half of the week I was busy writing my last paper for the semester (I'm finally done, yay!) And the second half of the week I spent watching Grey's Anatomy. I am still addicted to Grey's Anatomy and I will be spending the rest of the summer watching it!

Today I wanted to share with you a few things that I have been eyeing to kick off summer! In Wednesday's post, here, I chatted about those Ray Ban Aviators. I am obsessed! I am also loving one pieces this year! I am never really comfortable in a two piece and there are so many fab one pieces that are hard to resist! Mara Hoffman and Trina Turk are my favorite designers right now!

I have really been trying not to buy makeup as often, but summertime calls for great lip glosses! I am also looking for a few good summer reads! Do you have any recommendations?

What is on your summer starter list?

The Little Pink Skirt

Happy Humpday Y'all!

I beyond excited for today because I am almost finished with my last assignment for my Junior year of college! Insert jumping up and dow HERE! I will be finishing up my last paper after writing out this post and will be heading to the beach for few hours, for some much need realization time!

The sun is coming out and I think it is going to be a beautiful day! We have and quite a bit of lovely weather in VA recently and I think I need some more skirts and dresses! This is big coming from the girl that lives in a T-shirt and jeans. It could be a turning point, lol.

On Monday I shared with you my favorite Lilly pulitzer skort, see this, and today I am join to share with you one of my favorite skirts, from J. Crew factory, that I have had for years but never really wore until recently!

I love the hot pink color of the skirt, its cut and shape and everything else about! Except for the fact that I never know what top to pair with it?! Today I paired this light blue loft T-shirt, I usually go with a white T-shirt or white tank, but I thought the blue looked nice! Of course I added my favorite Tory Burch sandals, that I can't find anywhere to link unfortunately, and some Kendra Scott!

I linked a few similar items down below, so be sure to check them out! Also, I am loving the Ray Ban Aviators with the blue and green lenses! I know they are so last year but I can't help my self! What are your thoughts on those (they are linked also)?
Did you pick this skirt up a few years back from J. Crew factory? What do you pair yours with?

Have a great day!!

Lilly Pulitzer and a Skort

My Favorite Skort! lol
I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day weekend and was able to spend some quality time with your momma! I spent mine working... restaurant business {#overit} and unfortunately my mom was working with me also! But, at least we were able to spend the day, sort of, together.

School is on the home stretch, until my summer class start's in June, I only have one paper left and I am done-zo! The weather in VA has been beautiful and hot, very hot. So I have been really getting to wear some of my warmer weather clothing and have fallen in love with this skort all over again (see this post for my rant on listening to your momma!)

I love to wear skirts and all, but they are just so uncomfortable and I feel so exposed, lol. Am I the only one? So when I was forced to try on this skort last year and completely fell in love it was a great moment! I haven't decided what Lilly Pulitzer skort prints I want to purchase this year, or if I will purchase any. I think this  "Marigold Skort" is probably my favorite! I am still on the look out for other brands that have chic, feminine (non-manly) skorts that I can buy! If you know of any please leave me a link below!

Also, try typing "skort" this many times.. autocorrect is not having it. "sport" and "sort" overload!

Have a great week!

Friday Five: Instagram Lately

Happy Friday everyone and I hope you have had a great week! I have spent my week studying for finals and unfortunately I still have a bit more work before my semester ends (one research paper and one case analysis, and then I'm done.)

I haven't had much time lately to do a "Friday Five" post which are definitely one of my favorites to not  only write, but read other bloggers as well. This week I thought I would share a Instagram round-up of some of my favorite posts. I would love to follow you on Instagram, so leave me your name in a comment below (follow my Instagram here!)

The are my absolute favorite sandals ever! I basically life in them during the summer. They are so comfy and simple but pack a good punch with any outfit.

As you can tell, I am basically obsessing over Diptyque. Their scents are amazing and I am loving Vanille and Mimosa!

I pretty much live in these David Yurman cable bracelets. #IAmAddicted But can you really ever have too many?

Speaking of having too many... I have added my second pair of Christian Louboutin pumps to my closet! I don't think I have my closet has everyone happier (lol, jk). The Pigalle 100mm are perfect, once I learn how to walk in them right?

You know I'm a #LillyLover but I can not express how much I love a good skort that doesn't make me look like a boy. Haha. But seriously, every girls mother (like mine) should force them to try one on. They will be pleasantly surprised!

And yes, my mother still insists on me trying on specific clothing items she likes. And, once again, yes I listen to her. The women knows her you know what!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all the momma's out there! You are truly amazing gifts from god and I am so thankful for each and everyone of you, but especially my mom!

Weekend Travels: Atlanta Recap

This past weekend Jay and I made a last minute trip to the Atlanta, GA area for some family matters. Although the reason for the trip was not what we wanted, we made the best out of the situation and decided to do a little sight seeing and of course shopping! I wanted to share a little recap of our trip and some things I picked up while we were there!

First of I'm in love with the #ATL. I feel like I have hash-tagged "ATL" more than anything I have ever hash-tagged (lol). We had such an amazing time and completely fell in love with the city. I was very shocked, for at least the areas that we visited, how clean it was. When I think of a city, I usually don't think "clean".

You can definitely tell there is quite a bit of money  in the are because the shopping is incredible! We visited Phipps Plaza and some new shops in Buckhead Atlanta. Between the two I purchased a new bathing suit, a pair of black pumps (I FINALLY made a decision), and a Diptyque candle! They had a free standing Christian Louboutin store and I could have just lived inside!

Who would have though a one-piece could be so stylish?

Mimosa is heavenly
They were out of my size in the shoe I chose, so I decided to order them. I am pretty sure they are the "Pigalle" in black leather. They have not arrived yet, but when they do I will be sure to share them on my Instagram account!

As far as sight seeing, we visited Stone Mountain and Olympic Park. When Jay was little, he attended the olympics when they were in Atlanta so it was cool for him to go back and see the memorial sight! Stone Mountain was gorgeous! Since we did not have much time, we traveled up on the sky ride (I'm not sure of it's technical term, lol), given the chance to return again I definitely want to hike up! The view was incredible and just standing at the top was so peaceful.

Even my favorite TB Flats made it to the topi of Stone Mountain

He should have been a model
We had a delicious lunch at the Atlanta Grill inside the Ritz Carlton Hotel

Jay and I live such busy lives, that we don't really get many chances to take weekend trips. I really hope that in the future we will get to travel more!

How was your weekend?
