Mini Spring Beauty Haul!

My recent purchase on Nordstrom.com arrived today and I am so excited to share it with you all! This haul is a bit of a splurge, but from my first impressions of these items, it was well worth it! I have had my eye on one of the items for quite a while, but I just couldn't bring myself to purchase it. So I finally broke down a got it. The other two items are also really exciting because I have never tried them before!

My first and largest splurge item is from Chanel (surprise, surprise, I know right lol). I have wanted this product since I first laid eyes on it, like I said. To me this highlighter is more of a collectors item. I know, I might be a little crazy, ha. This product is beautiful , I cannot even describe to you how happy I am I purchased this.

I think that this piece is definitely one of a kind. I don't know if it the beautiful peachy highlight color or if it the amazing print on the actual powder itself. It is just stunning.

The second thing that I purchased is this Bobbie Brown Shimmer Brick in Lilac Rose. It is a a beautiful  pink/purple blush for spring! I like the shimmer and the color itself. I think it brings a light and a nice flush to the face.

Here are swatches of the two powders. The lighting wasn't great so the swatches are not great either, I am sorry.

The last thing I purchased was a lip gloss. This is exciting for me because I haven't ever tried any Chantecaille products. Although, I'm glad I picked this one to try. So far, I think these may be my new favorite glosses! It is pigmented, creamy, not sticky, and lasts long. The color is my favorite lip product color a soft creamy pink color! These glosses are very expensive, but I do think that I will come to find that they are worth the splurge. Hopefully, I will be able to get another one, one day!

I am very happy with everything that I purchased. With my order, I recieved three free samples.

I am very anxious to try this mascara. :)

That is all for my haul, if you have tried any of these products I would love to know your thoughts on them. I am also interested in trying more things form Chantecaille, I would love to your thoughts on the brand! If you have any questions or requests on these products please let me know in a comment!
Thank you for stopping by!!

Bird's Nest Coconut Macaroon Cookies for Easter!!

Happy Monday Everyone! Today I want to share with you this fun recipe that my mom and I changed up a bit. Originally these were just ordinary, delicious coconut macaroons created by the one and only Barefoot Contessa. But being the genius, fabulous (must I go on?) cook that my mom is, she changed the shape of these to form little "Bird Nests" that could be filled with Robin's Eggs or Jelly beans!! They are just too cute not to share! Yesterday, Jay, my mom, and I  set out to film the process of making these cute little macaroons. Despite all of the obstacles ( Diesel constantly wanting in and out, and in and out), it turn out quite well.  I would love for you to watch the video, I will link it at the bottom of this post! I decided to post the recipe on here instead of the info box on the video just because it would crowd the info box, lol. I hope that you try these macaroons, if you do please let me know in a comment below, or tweet me!!

On to the Recipe...

What you will need:

14 ounces sweetened shredded coconut
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 extra-large egg whites, at room temperature
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

First you will need to preheat your oven to 325 degrees.

Next, Combine the coconut, vanilla extract, and condensed milk in a large bowl. Whip the egg whites and kosher salt until they form soft peaks  ( I suggest using an electric mixer). Fold the egg whites into the coconut mixture gently.

Scoop the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. The recipe calls for about two teaspoons per macaroon, but you can make them whatever size you want (you may just need to adjust the cooking time). Form the batter into a circle and add the indention into the center to form the basket (or nest!). Bake for about 25 to 30 min and allow to cool.

Once the macaroons are cool add Robin's Eggs or Jellybeans ( or whatever you like) to the nest!
& LASTLY but... most IMPORTANTLY
Enjoy
<3
I highly recommend checking out the Barefoot Contessa's website for more delicious recipes! I love her recipes because they are simply, with little ingredients, but still yummy!
Thank you for stopping by an be sure to check out my video on this recipe. Hopefully it will be the first of many cooking videos! Please let me know what you think in a comment, it would make my day!

My New Workspace

Mid last week I decided that my little old vanity/desk was too SMALL for my work space. My mom and I were talking about what I could use and how buying a new desk was expensive, and I just didn't want to go that route right now. Then, she remember this old farm table she had in the garage. At first I was a little, well let's just say "not so fond" of the idea. But I really love the way everything came together. Once I saw the table I knew it would be perfect and so it was <3
Here are a few pictures of the table BEFORE:

Then I filled it with a lamp, my bamboo plant, and mirrored box, pictures and other fun decorations to make it my perfect, personalized desk!
So this is the AFTER:

I love this mirrored box. It is a fab little accessory and I now use it to store post-it notes and other little odds and ends! Also, these little candles smell AMAZING! I get them at a local store, Season, (which I absolutely adore)!

My beautiful bamboo plant that I received for my birthday from Jay's sister and her boyfriend ( Thank you Robyn and David!) lol. I just love this plant! I love how clean it looks and I don't even know, I just LOVE it:)

I have a picture of my mom and I (throwback!), pen/pencil holder from T.J. Maxx, stapler, cute little lamp of my mothers, and my Liily agenda!

For my printer, I just sat this wicker box on top to store extra paper and things of that nature.

Overall I love my new workspace. Whether I am blogging, doing homework or just looking out the window at the beautiful view, I will now be able to spend my wonderful time at my desk comfortably! A big thank you to my mommy who helped me set this up :)

Thank you all for stopping by! I would love to know what you think of this desk idea in a comment:)
