Sephora Haul Saturday!

This week Sephora was having a V.I.B. sale so I took advantage! I believe the sale was 15% off. My order just came in the other day and I want to share it with you all :)

I only purchased three items (shown above), but I am very pleased with all three!

I received some samples! I was most excited about the origins GinZing eye cream. Because this is my favorite day-time eye cream and I am fresh out! So now I have a little sample to last me a while.

I love the Benefit High Beam highlighter and recently I have been interested in try some products similar to it from Benefit. So when I saw that Sephora had this exclusive kit of three other Benefit liquid stain/highlighting products, I had to buy it! I really love the Posie Tint and Sun Beam, but Cha Cha Tint is a little scary to me lol. The Cha Cha Tint shade is a bright orange coralish color, that is very pretty, but I just haven't figured out how to use it yet! The Posie Tint is a perfect cheek color for me and is always very pretty as a lip stain. I of course love Sun Beam too, because it is so similar to High Beam. I think it will be perfect for giving my skin a bronzed glow this summer!

Swatches of just the colors.

Swatches of the colors blended in.

I decided that I wanted to purchase this hand cream when I saw MissJenFabulous 's video on youtube of her nail care routine. Her nails are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. She said that this Hand Cream is her favorite hand cream and that she keeps one in her purse, beside her bed, and etc.. I decided then that I must try this. I haven't had it long so I can't tell you too much about it. But, I know that the smell is nice and not very strong or over powering. It also absorbs nicely into the skin and does not leave your hands slippery. I will update on it later after I try it for longer!

The finale product is the beauty blender! I have waited so long to try this! The picture above show the difference in a wet and dry beauty blender (dry, left : wet, right). You can obviously see that it get's much bigger when you wet it. Just like the hand cream I haven't tried it enough yet to give a full review. A few things that I have noticed are that it doesn't seem to absorb my foundation, it feels great on my skin (kind of refreshing!), and that it gives a very natural finish!

I hope that you enjoyed this post! Did you take advantage of the Sephora sale?
If so, what did you buy?

Thank you for stopping by!

Revlon Lip Butter: Review and Swatches

Wow, I'm not sure where to start on these! I held off for such a long time, more like forever, on these lip butters. I never thought that they would be worth the money. Even though these are relatively cheap, I just thought that I wouldn't get the pay of that I wanted.
Well let me just tell you, I sure did!!

My first purchase from the collection was the shade Cotton Candy ( the middle color above). Shortly after trying this on, in the car on the way home lol, I discovered that I must try more! I was in love.

Shown above is just one swatch of the color. You can already see how pigmented the colors are with just one swatch! I usually swipe it a few times across my lips, I am a sloppy applicator lol, so the color builds up a bit. These are just amazing for drugstore products! I get more moisture from these than I do my Chanel Coco Shine balms. These lip "butters" actually feel like butter on your lips. Weird? Ok, maybe a little. But you get the point, they are moisturizing!

The color pay off is impressive. To me, this is just my opinion, they remind me slightly of a MAC Creamsheen lipstick when the color is built up. Now, I wouldn't stop by the MAC lipstick and replace it with these, just because I really like the Creamsheen lipsticks. But I can see a slight resemblance between the two. My favorite shade is by far Strawberry Shortcake it is just a beautiful pink that goes great with my skin tone. The shade Juicy Papaya is a new color. I really love this collection and will definitely be purchasing more from it. My last rave about this product is the size and range of the colors.   Revlon provided a huge selection of colors in great shades! So Thank you Revlon!

I hope that you found this post helpful, If so please share it with someone you know!
Have you tried this collection? What are your thoughts and your favorite colors?
Thank you for stopping by!

Dark Green Smoky Eye!

I am so excited to share this look! I absolutely love it! I think that this is so easy and foolproof but it still looks like you spent a while on your makeup (little do they know... lol). Anyways, I wanted to share this because I just recently hauled two of these items (Check out the haul HERE!). So far I am really liking both things. The Chanel cream shadow is definitely my favorite. It is such a beautiful color and the product i easy to work with. The Laura Mercier is also nice, although I was a bit disappointed in how much chunky glitter was it the shadow. I would have liked it more if there was less glitter, but I still like it!

I really love how the two Chanel colors work/look together! It make's me so happy, ha. But, I also like just the Laura Mercier and Chanel cream shadows together. I think cream shadows are going to be my next obsession!! I hope you enjoy this look, I think that it is just beautiful and too easy!

Products Used:

Chanel Ombre Essentielle (Single Shadow) in 88 Vert Khaki
Chanel Illusion D'Ombre (Cream Shadow) in 84 Epatant
Benefit Brow Zings Brow Kit in Light
Chanel Le Volume de Chanel in Black
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Sugar Frost
MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Stubborn Brown
MAC Eyeshadows in Phloof + Satin Taupe

Bobbie Brown Shimmer Brick in Lilac Rose
Chanel Highlighter (Spring 2013 Collection)
MAC Creamsheen Lipstick (name unknown, HELP!!)
I love this MAC lipstick but I don't know what it's name is. It is lighter than cream cup, any thoughts?

I hope you all enjoyed this quick little post. My video will be up tomorrow and I will update this then!!
Happy Sunday night/ early Monday!!

Thank you for stopping by!

A Little Shopping Trip...

This shopping trip was "thought up" a while ago when Jay and I decided that we would hold off on the Valentine's Day and Easter gifts for each other so that we could save up and buy one another new sunglasses! Wow, run on sentence much? Couldn't get that one out right. lol. Anyways, while we were there dropping off all of our cash at Saks and the Sunglass Hut, I decide to visit the Chanel and Laura Mercier counters just to check and make sure they were still around. Thank god they were! I always think of all of the cosmetic items that I want to purchase and then when I actually go to the store I just blank. Anyways, "Again, I know just get to the point already Morgan", I purchased a few things I have been eyeing so I just wanted to share some pictures and swatches! I am very excited about my purchases. Everything, so far, seems to be very nice. Which is always a plus!

First the glasses..

I went for Tom Ford Aviators.

Jay went for Gucci

These look great on him! lol

On to the makeup goodies...

CHANEL

I purchased this eye makeup remover because I have been using makeup removing wipes and I just feel that they are too rough on my skin. I have to tug and pull my eyes, “Which is not good for wrinkles!!”, and I think that is really changing my lashes for the worst. I am a huge Chanel fan, obviously, so I wanted to try their remover. It is pricey, but I just like Chanel. That is my only excuse, sorry. Hopefully this is nice also. I tried it tonight, only on my eyes, and it seemed to do the job well and not cause any burning or irritation to my eyes! I just praying for no breakouts! I will continue to use the remover wipes for just my face excluding my eyes.

Illusion D'Ombre
84 Epatant

I am very excited to try this Chanel cream shadow! I absolutely love the color. The consistency and pigmentation is fabulous! I am really impressed so far and definitely think it is worth the price. I hope none of that changes! I have heard they dry out quickly, I hope not!

Caviar Stick Eye Colour
Sugar Frost

I am also excited about the Laura Mercier Caviar stick. This product along with the Chanel cream shadow has a wonderful color range, in my opinion. I think this will be great as a quick everyday shadow as well as a base and also maybe as a highlight for my inner corners and brow bone!

Here are swatches of the two products:

I hope that you enjoyed this post and found it helpful! If you would like to see more swatches or any in depth reviews of the products please let me know! I would love to share them with you!
I hope you all have a Fabulous Friday & a great weekend!
What have you bought recently? I would love to know!

Olay Fresh Effects Haul and a Drugstore Concealer!

It really didn't take me that long to cave in on the whole BB cream idea. I took a little trip to Ulta the other day and purchased the Olay Fresh Effects BB cream along with the makeup wipes in the collection and a concealer from Loreal. With that being said I wanted to share some pictures, swatches, and first impressions of the items I purchased!

My mini Haul

My first impressions on this concealer are actually really great!! So far in my beauty life,  I have not found a drugstore concealer that I like to use for blemishes. That has just changed. I LOVE this concealer! My opinion could change but so far, I love it. It has good coverage, it wears well, and it is easy to use! I love the packaging for this because it is small yet easy to use. The consistency of this is very creamy it isn't too thick or too thin. I do not think it is the best concealer out there. But, for the price I think it is a great buy!

These makeup wipes were a bit of a disappointment. With that being said, it could just be the package I got. I would love to know your thoughts on this. They are not horrible wipes but there are a few things about them I am not so fond of. The first would be that they are very dry wipes. They are not nearly as moist as my Garnier makeup wipes. I like to make sure my wipes are very moist because they dry out overtime. I do not see these wipes lasting very long because they are already so dry. The second thing I do not like about these is that they do burn my eyes a bit which is obviously painful and annoying. But, I have been looking into buying an eye makeup remover which would put that to a stop. The things that I do like about this product is the smell (I love the smell of these), they are oil- free, and lastly they do seem to remove my face makeup pretty well.  So overall they are ok.

Now on to the BB Cream!

I purchased the fair to light shade.

Blended in.

I also love the smell of this product! I do like this bb cream for many reasons, but there are a few things I'm not so crazy about also. First off, like I just said I love the smell. It is very fresh and clean, just like the bottle! The coverage of this is not exactly what I was hoping for but it isn't awful. I would say that this would be great for someone who has pretty flawless skin, which isn't me. lol. You can also smell the sunscreen in it which is ok for me, but others may not like that. I had to mention this even though it is kind of weird. If you accidentally get this in your mouth, you know you put it on your face and it gets on your lips then you lick them, it tastes like sunscreen. While I sometimes enjoy the smell of sunscreen, it makes me think of summer, I DO NOT like the taste. ha. This product seems to just sit on my skin, which I don't like. I wish that I would absorb into my skin a little bit more. Overall, this is a nice product. I will probably try another bb cream with hopefully a little more coverage than this one.

These are all of the products that I own from the Fresh Effects line from Olay. I really like the facial cleaner (probably my favorite from the line). It smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling extra clean! I think that this line is a great drugstore line. It does not have some of the qualities as a a higher end would, but then again it has a much better price:)

I hope you found this post helpful. I would like to know your thoughts on this line along with any other bb creams that you like! Thank you for stopping by and if you found this post helpful, please share it!!

Morgan

Let's Talk BB Creams...

I have just recently (the past few days) gained more interest in trying out a bb cream. I have always been interested in them, but I haven't ever really found one that I felt like I had to have. On that note I have been trying to decide which one I may want to purchase. I'm not sure if I am going to go with a drugstore or higher end version. My top three bb creams that I am interested in are:

1. Tarte BB Tinted Moisturizer

2.Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream

3. Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream

I am unsure which BB cream I want to purchase. It may not even be one of these. But I wanted to see if anyone had tried any of these or any other bb or cc creams. If so, which one is your favorite? I have oily skin so I want to try to keep that at bay. But I am really excited to try a BB cream!

Thank you for your help!!
