What's In My Makeup Bag

The past few weeks have been such a busy time for me. I have been out of town twice [Charleston & Charlotte], I got engaged and have been preparing for the launch of my new site [which should be very soon, with more info on all these exciting details]! Let's just say, busy is an understatement, for me at least because I usually don't travel that often.

The other day, amidst the pile of laundry, cleaning and tidying that needed to be done, I was about to start unpacking my travel makeup bag [here] when I realized that this would be the perfect time to share some of my current and favorite products that I am using on a daily basis! I adore my Louis Vuitton Toiletry 26 bag, #duhh, because it is one of the most fashionable and useful cosmetic bags I own. Plus, it fits tons, and tons, of stuff!

I am a routine person, in some ways, so basically when I find products I like- I use them over, and over, everyday! So here is the current edit:

Face
I didn't realize how much I love, and rely on Nars products, until I decided to share my favorites. I seriously have fallen head over heels with the quality and price of Nars products. The base of my face is basically Nars. I have just repurchased this foundation because I love how long lasting it is. And guess what... it doesn't break me out!! The tinted moisturizer is just as great, only with light coverage, perfect for hot beach days. Add a little of their creamy concealer on blemishes and my favorite, YSL Touche Eclat, under the eyes for a perfect flawless face!

As for blush and bronzer, I have fallen in love with two samples. The Tarte Amazonian Clay Bronzer is the perfect bronze shade and is even good for contouring. I am also really loving this rosey, rose bloom blush from Laura Mercier. To set everything I am faithful to the Laura Mercer Translucent Powder

Eyes
For the eyes, I start with the Nars smudge proof eye shadow base and use my favorite combination of colors from the Too Faced Natural Eye Palette.  I have been loving this YSL mascara, and have been using the Loreal Lineur Intense for years! I am not exactly in love with the Chantecaille waterproof eyebrow pencil, but it isn't terrible [haha].

Brow Pencil [this one is my favorite]

Lips

YSL and Tom Ford are definitely my two favorite lip product brands, but as far as what has been in my makeup bag, YSL takes the win. I have recently fallen in love with their glossy stains, especially this color. I have also finally found out what all of the talk about Lingerie Pink is, it's stunning!

Brushes + Tools

I use a combination of brushes from different brands, but MAC and Chanel are my everyday brushes.

I hope that you enjoy getting a look into my makeup bag and what products I am currently using! I love reading about these and finding out what products other people are loving! I would love to know what your favorite products are right now, let me know in a comment below!

Friday Five: Life, What's Coming, New Site, Questions + More

It is Friday, yet again and I have been completely absent this week! I am sorry for not posting this week, however I have been working on some posts for my new site, that should be up a running very soon! I am so excited for it to be ready and I am trying to plan some posts for when it is ready, so that way I can just jump right into my new site!

If you have any requests for posts, or anything, just let me know in a comment or email! I honestly am over the moon about my rebrand and can't wait to share it with you! It has been so hard to not take screenshots and post them, and just share all of the details. However, I wanted it to be somewhat surprising, I am have had to keep somethings secret!

Anyways, for this week's Friday Five, I am just planning to ask lot's of question in hope to get some feed back from YOU! So let's just get right into it!

Blog Planner
Since I have been planning and prepping for my new site launch, I have been trying to get together some upcoming posts, as previously mentioned, and I have realized just how much I need a blog planner. I wanted to ask you, if you use a blog planner which one you use or which is your favorite? With the fall school semester quickly approaching, our house building, the new site, wedding planning and so much more, I am wondering how I am going to keep everything straight?! & not pull my hair out, [LOL.] So I have been looking into getting a blog planner but I was just curious which route is the best to go. How do you plan for your blog?

Engagement
I promise Jay and I's engagement photo's will be up soon! I am trying to hold out for the new site, just because they will look so much better on that [and even go with the new theme!] I am so beyond excited, I literally just can't hold it all in! I have been sneaking a few pictures in on my Instagram, so if you don't follow me you should do that HERE. I have also been looking into fun little decor pieces, jewelry and other things, because I am so excited that I AM GETTING MARRIED!! One of which, is the Mrs. Box, but I just can't pick a color! Which is your fave and what are your wedding obsessions?

Back To School
I seriously don't even want to think about join back to school. #notmyfavoritething However, I do love reading Back To school blog posts, so I was curious if that would be something that you would be interested in seeing? Along those lines, since I am a commuter student, I'm not so familiar with dorm life. So, I have been considering trying to get someone to do a guest post on my new site! If you would be interested in doing that, please email me at themissmorganlife01@gmail.com.

Food + Home
I decided to combine Food and Home [#4 and #5] into one. I am going to be incorporating more home and food posts into my new site and I can't wait to share them. Jay and I are currently in the long process of building a house and I want to take you along with the journey and share lot's of pictures and tips! I also love to cook, so I would really love to share some of my favorite family recipes me you!

I hope that these interest you and any feedback you can give me will be greatly appreciated! Jay and I are having a date night tonight to see the Minion Movie [#littlekidsatheart] and I am so excited, LOL! Have you seen it yet?!

Have a great weekend!

Cutoffs and Cobblestone

I have to say, even though it has only been over a week, I truly miss Charleston! Every step you take get's more, and more beautiful. The people are so lovely and kind and the atmosphere is light and happy. Plus, getting engaged to your best friend tends to make it even more special!

Also, how gorgeous is this cobblestone street? #iloveyoucharleston

These cut off shorts from Madewell were a life saver, as far a comfort, when exploring all of Charleston's beauty. Loft has all of my go-to t-shirts, because they are so comfy and come in all of my favorite colors! Since I decided on this pink shade, I had to add my favorite Kendra Scott necklace and my Tom Ford Anoushka sunnies. I definitely need to find an exploring handbag, this Saint Laurent bag is a beauty, but can be pretty heavy! However, my Tory Burch Miller sandals are a classic favorite.

I am off to The La Petite Bloom Workshop in Charlotte today and couldn't be more excited! I can't wait to take lot's of pictures and hopefully make plenty of new friends! Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter to get updates!

I hope your week is off to a great start!

Nordstrom Anniversary SALE

The time is upon us for the Nordstrom Anniversary SALE! If you are like me, and are not a Nordstrom cardholder, not to worry… we stick together! It would have been nice to shop early, but that don't mean that I'm not going to shop at all!

My favorite thing about this sale is that it is the perfect time to get new Fall items on sale! Rarely is there ever a sale that is promoting upcoming season items, they are usually for seasons that have passed, which is terrible- a sale is a sale! However, if you are planning ahead for the upcoming Fall season, this is the perfect time to pick up expensive, or really any, items!

So, even though I'm sure you have beat to death with Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks, I wanted to share mine!

Beauty
I am such a beauty junkie, especially lips [see this post], and these lip sets are perfect! Tom Ford makes such wonderful and luxurious lip products, so these are definitely highly recommended! Also, I have recently fallen in love with these YSL lip stains!

Clothing
First off, I have to be honest. Vince is rapidly becoming one of my most favorite brands! Their products are so comfortable and made from such wonderful quality, for both men and women [Jay loves them too]! So this coat is definitely on my list, I mean seriously, it's perfect right? In addition, LOVE a chunky sweater. They are perfect with jeans and boots and are a staple in my Fall/Winter wardrobe. Lastly, I have always wanted a black robe. If you can't tell, it's one of my favorite colors and I wear a robe daily after showering! This one is gorgeous and less than $50!!

Shoes, Bags and Accessories
Lately I have become obsessed with Chanel bags, specifically, the Boy Bag! I think that this Rebecca Minkoff Bag is a perfect dupe for the Chanel Boy bag and doesn't break the bank! Booties are a new staple in my closet. I love classic riding boots, like these, but booties can easily pull off a more casual look. There are plenty of accessories in this sale, including Kendra Scott, but this Burberry watch has stolen my heart!

I hope that this post is informative for you and maybe showed you something new from the sale! What are you planning on purchasing?!

3 Perfect Summer Lip Products

Louis Vuitton Toiletry Bag here.
I may have possibly found the 3 lip products I could live forever with! Give it, I just purchased these, [all at the same time, while in Charleston], however I am insanely in love with each one! I'm not sure if this is a "haul" post or a rave/I'm obsessed/love of my life post!

I have always been a fan of the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks, and basically love anything from Tom Ford. However, I have to say that each one of these colors are extremely luxurious and should be a staple for everyone! I was very excited to try the YSL Glossy Stain and I ma happy to say it did not disappoint! The color of this one is BEAUTIFUL and fun for a bright lip that is not deadly, if that makes sense?

I can't wait to share more pictures of these products, on my lips, very soon in up coming posts! So for today I just wanted to share them and give some brief thoughts on why I love them so much!

This shade is the ultimate nude! It does not wash me out and still provides a hint of color and life to the lips! I feel like nudes can sometimes be too orangey or make you look like a vampire [haha] but this one does neither! I love the vanilla scent, I think this is a Tom Ford signature, it just makes the lip product that more luxurious!
This is the perfect summer time Malibu Barbie shade! I adore this color and really don't have many other products [probably maybe one, that is half melted] like this! It reminds me quite a bit of Katey Mcfarlan from Chronicle of Frivolity! This must be one of her staples! Of course, it has the delicious and fruity signature YSL scent, which makes it that much more perfect for summer!
Last, but certainly not least, is the YSL Glossy stain. This product is different for me than anything else I have used. I never really jumped on the lip stain bandwagon, but I love this product! I smells divine and leaves my lips a beautiful, and fun, bright tropical pink. The stain is long lasting, thus far, and I love the black and gold packaging!

Bracelets are here and here.

Sorry for the poor light! I will try to get some better swatches soon. The colors are shown in the order they are listed in above.

I am such a lip product junky, but I have to say that these one's easily moved to the top of my list!

What are your favorite lip products, colors, or brands?

Rompin' Around Charleston

Ok, so the title is kind of corny, but just go with it! LOL

Where do I begin?!

Charleston was absolutely AHHHMAZING!! The sites were gorgeous, the food was heavenly, the shopping was over the moon and, well if you follow me on Instagram (here), something very exciting and life changing happened! More on all of that to come very soon, I promise!

For today we are going to chat about this sassy little romper! That’s right, a romper! I never wear rompers; in fact, they usually don't fit me well. However, when I saw this one, I just knew it was coming home with me! Or should I say out to dinner that night with me? It went perfect with my new nude sandals and I loved how my Kendra Scott earrings really popped!

This romper will be flattering on everyone! It's cut so wonderfully and the full legs easily imitate a midi dress! Plus, if your like me and are obsessed with having pockets, you won't be disappointed!

3 Reasons Why I am OBSESSED with this romper:
1. I have never been more comfortable in any other "going out" outfit! I literally threw it on in less than 5 minutes!
2. It was only $22 [I know, call an ambulance!]
3. It is such an easy transition outfit. It goes great with a sweater and sandals or you can dress it up with heels and a fun bag!

I purchased this romper from the most darling boutique in Charleston, Simply J Boutique! If you are interested in this exact romper, and are in the Charleston area, I would definitely check them out! Even if you aren't looking for a romper [Lol]! I will link other options below as well!

I hope you all are having a great start to the week! I am so excited for all of the things to come, on the blog soon! Charleston is literally a bloggers heaven!

Friday Five: We are in Charleston!

Happy Friday!
I am sorry that this post is going up a bit late, but I AM IN CHARLESTON [said in very happy voice, lol]!! We spent last night driving down and woke up this a.m. in downtown Charleston! It is so beautiful and I can't wait to show you more pictures! I am hoping to snap lot's of great shots for my blog. If you have any recommendations I would love to know them!

We are staying at the Planters Inn and I have heard that their huge coconut cake is a must!

First things first. I am a terrible packer, it truly is a sad sight. I usually overpack and forget all of the important things/necessities!

I can not even describe to you have picture perfect Charleston is! Literally! This area is gorgeous and I just want to take a million pictures, which I probably will!

Image: here

Have you been watching Shark Week? I have watched a few shows and look forward to this every year. Although I feel like each year is the same thing. What are your thoughts?

These are my absolute favorite little chocolate milks and they are the most perfect late nights snacks!

Be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up with more pictures from our weekend trip to Charleston! I would love to chat with you on Instagram!

I hope you have a great weekend!

Summer Beauty Wish List

I can't believe it is already Wednesday! This week is going by so fast and I have been working really hard, or maybe I'm just really stressed, to prepare for my new site! If you follow me on social media, [Instagram, Twitter, Facebook], you know that I have changed my social media names in preparation of my new site, Timeless Taste! I am so excited and have been working on my business cards, and other things, all while planning for my trip to Charleston in just two short days! [If you have any Charleston recommendations I would love to know them!!] I am so excited but I am not looking for ward to the drive, or leaving my little Worm!

On a lighter note, today I am going to be sharing some of my "Summer Beauty Wish List" items! I easily obsess over beauty products and brands, however this summer I have been obsessing over giving my skin a break and lightening up my look a bit! I think that rosy pink lips and cheeks in combination with fresh skin and beautiful lashes, make for such an elegant summer look! Whether you are heading to the beach, or going out for date night, this look is guaranteed to make a statement!

With that in mind, I have put together some items that I am dying to get my hands on lately! Starting with the skin, Bobbi Brown's beach collection is known to be perfect for summer and this oil looks divine! After reading Chronicles of Frivolity, Katey McFarland, and my latest sample from Neiman's, has turned me on to Tata Harper products! She swears by this mask and I am itching to get my hands on it! As for lips, Tom Ford is a must and I have been wanting to try the new YSL Tint-In-Oil, because YSL makes some of my top most favorite lip products! Lastly, we can't for get beautiful beach hair, and I have heard that Oribe is a must have, along with this for dewy cheeks and a staple shimmery eye look!

Louis Vuitton Initials Monogram Belt

We already know I am all about the accessories, but OMG… How gorgeous is this belt?

I am basically content on the fact that I do not ever need to purchase another belt and I can simply, get rid of all of my other belts. I am so excited to share this new piece of my closet with you! I feel so blessed to be fortunate enough to have nice quality “things” and I would much rather have one timeless piece than many trendy items.

I cannot stress enough to you how important it is to select your wardrobe carefully, and search for classic pieces. Over the years, I have spent so much money, and time, on trendy clothing and accessories. Let me tell you…

They just don't last.

Anyways, I wanted to introduce this piece to you, because I know I will probably be featuring it quite often, in upcoming posts! I find saving money for investment pieces to be thrilling- if there is such a thing?

Are you currently saving for any investment pieces to add to your closet?
