Weekend Travels: Atlanta Recap

This past weekend Jay and I made a last minute trip to the Atlanta, GA area for some family matters. Although the reason for the trip was not what we wanted, we made the best out of the situation and decided to do a little sight seeing and of course shopping! I wanted to share a little recap of our trip and some things I picked up while we were there!

First of I'm in love with the #ATL. I feel like I have hash-tagged "ATL" more than anything I have ever hash-tagged (lol). We had such an amazing time and completely fell in love with the city. I was very shocked, for at least the areas that we visited, how clean it was. When I think of a city, I usually don't think "clean".

You can definitely tell there is quite a bit of money  in the are because the shopping is incredible! We visited Phipps Plaza and some new shops in Buckhead Atlanta. Between the two I purchased a new bathing suit, a pair of black pumps (I FINALLY made a decision), and a Diptyque candle! They had a free standing Christian Louboutin store and I could have just lived inside!

Who would have though a one-piece could be so stylish?

Mimosa is heavenly
They were out of my size in the shoe I chose, so I decided to order them. I am pretty sure they are the "Pigalle" in black leather. They have not arrived yet, but when they do I will be sure to share them on my Instagram account!

As far as sight seeing, we visited Stone Mountain and Olympic Park. When Jay was little, he attended the olympics when they were in Atlanta so it was cool for him to go back and see the memorial sight! Stone Mountain was gorgeous! Since we did not have much time, we traveled up on the sky ride (I'm not sure of it's technical term, lol), given the chance to return again I definitely want to hike up! The view was incredible and just standing at the top was so peaceful.

Even my favorite TB Flats made it to the topi of Stone Mountain

He should have been a model
We had a delicious lunch at the Atlanta Grill inside the Ritz Carlton Hotel

Jay and I live such busy lives, that we don't really get many chances to take weekend trips. I really hope that in the future we will get to travel more!

How was your weekend?
